This past weekend, the wife and I decided to take a little vacation to Pismo Beach. Nothing too major just a little get away for a couple days. I decided to take along my new camera and I’m glad I did. On Saturday I tried to find a little place to take a few pictures but wasn’t having much luck. We ended up finding a little place that had a few rocks and a ton of birds. After a few minutes of being there though it started to rain. After dinner that night we went back and I messed around a bit with some long exposure stuff.

Anyways, we didn’t take too many shots there. it started to get dark and there was only so much you can do. The next day we decided to take a tour of Hearst Castle. I haven’t been there since I was little and Tia has never been. We took the first tour which went around outside and through the house a bit. Kind of gave you a general idea of what the place is like. Anyways, enough talk and more pictures!

Tia and I bought a Nikon D5000 today! So be on a lookout for pictures I’ll be posting while I practice this new hobby. I’m not sure if I’ll post them here or on my named domain. I’ll keep you guys updated.

This is a wallpaper that I created very quickly in Photoshop using a damask pattern I found a long time ago and a few grunge brushes I’ve collected along the way. Hope you enjoy. Sizes included in the zip are 1280×1024, 1600×1200, 1680×1050, and 1920×1200.
